Michelle Fairley (born. 17 January 1964, Coleraine) was a British and Northern Irish film and theatre actress.
Her acting career for many years was mainly associated with British (mainly London University) theaters. The first big performance was Dasha’s role in the art of Joyriders present subjects in 1986’s Tricycle Theatre. Played, in particular, in Oleannie (1993), Loyal Women (2003), Scenes from the Big Picture (2003), Ashes to Ashes (2004), Wild duck (2006) and others. In the play the Vie performed in 1999 on Broadway. For amélie’s role in present subjects at the Donmar Warehouse in 2007 adaptation of “Othello” was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award.
In 1989 she made her debut as a film actress in Hidden City. For many years, she played mostly small roles in television series and low-budget productions. In 2001 appeared in Others side by side with Nicole Kidman. In 2010, she played the mother of Hermione Granger in one of the films about the adventures of Harry Potter. In 2011, she received her most prominent role in the film-embodied in the character Catelyn Stark in the HBO Game of Thrones.
